These are some of my personal projects. Alot of my projects are film based and black and white. I am a sucker for film photography and I develop all of my black and white stuff myself in my darkroom. I am always working on different projects and ideas, perfecting my skills and trying new processes and approaches to photography.
PERSONAL PROJECTS
WELCOME TO THE DARKSIDE
Darkroom, B&W, Medium Format, 35mm
This album contains 35mm b&w images that I shoot using my Pentax z-50P and were developed and printed by hand in. The panoramic feature on this camera allows for capturing wider scenes. I was given this camera from my Uncle and it is one of my favourite cameras to experiment with outside of paid work. It produces far from perfect pictures due to it's age BUT that's an aesthetic I love as it allows me to escape the world of perfectly lit studio work and recognise beauty from a different approach.
COLOUR FILM
Polaroid, 35mm, Fisheye
This album contains my fish eye experiments. All shot on 35mm film on my lomography toy camera. Images have been scanned.
DIGITAL PROJECTS
Online works, Photoshop, HDR, Retouching
This album contains examples of my HDR work. HDR stands for high dynamic range and it is a process of taking multiple exposures of the same scene, in each shot exposing correctly for different parts of the image, and then combining them digitally to create beautiful dream like photographs.
This was a digital photography Uni projct of mine. The topic being 'online identity', I decided to explore and highlight the fact that in an online digital world there is no such thing as a true identity as anybody can be anybody online, and uless you personally know a person the validity of their identity online is unknown.
